In European stock markets, FTSE 100 index rose 1.12% to 7,015.36 points, French CAC-40 increased by 1.40% to 5,208.95, Germany’s DAX advanced 1.08% to 12,166.44.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index soared 0.11% to 19,958.91 points, Hang Seng increased by 0.48% to 27,073.74, Shanghai advanced 1.40% to 4,012.97.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price rose by $1.90 to $1,195.50 an ounce, and silver price went up $0.06 to $16.24.
