In European stock markets, FTSE 100 index surged 0.16% to 7,075.26 points, French CAC-40 decreased by 0.69% to 5,218.06, Germany’s DAX dropped 0.90% to 12,227.60.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index slipped 0.05% to 19,899.23 points, Hang Seng decreased by 0.08% to 27,540.28, Shanghai descended 1.11% to 4,089.52.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price tumbled $1.90 to $1,190.70 an ounce, and silver price went down $0.04 to $16.13.
