In European stock markets, FTSE 100 index surged 0.60% to 6,898.13 points. French CAC-40 rose 0.04% to 4,753.99, Germany’s DAX dropped 0.25% to 10,895.62.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index grew 0.95% to 17,258.21 points, Hang Seng increased 0.19% at 24,832.08, Shanghai went up 0.76% to 3,246.91.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price descended $0.60 and stood at $1,208 an ounce, and silver advanced $0.09 to $16.47.
