In European markets, FTSE 100 index soared 0.30% to 7,096.78 points, French CAC-40 increased by 0.70% to 5,254.35, Germany’s DAX surged 0.03% to 12,231.34.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index slipped 0.37% to 19,797.03 points, Hang Seng grew 0.20% to 27,674.04, Shanghai enhanced 1.95% to 4,163.93.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price rose by $0.19 to $1,203.60 an ounce, and silver price went raised $0.21 to $16.37.
