In European stock markets, FTSE 100 index went down 0.12% to 6,829.12 points, French CAC-40 soared 0.96% to 4,695.65, Germany’s DAX grew 0.85% to 10,753.83.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index decreased 0.33% to close at 17,652.68 points, Hang Seng decreased 0.76% to 24,341.86, Shanghai rose 0.22% at 3,148.59.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price surged $4.00 and stood at $1,236.20 an ounce, and silver price rose $0.11 to $16.99.
