In European stock markets, FTSE 100 index decreased by 0.22% to 6,810.60 points, French CAC-40 advanced 0.44% to 4,631.43, Germany’s DAX went up 0.25% to 10,737.87.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index rose 0.75% to close at 17,738.24 points, Hang Seng went down 0.14% to 24,560.45, Shanghai fell 1.27% at 3,220.74.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price surged $5.90 and stood at $1,260.50 an ounce, and silver soared $0.17 to $16.95.
