Most stocks in world market fall, gold and silver go up

Baku. Yegane Lachinzade – APA-Economics. The U.S. Dow Jones stock index decreased 0.47% to 18,203.37, S&P 500 slipped 0.45% to 2,107.78 points, while the NASDAQ shed 0.56% to 4,979.90 points.

In European stock markets, FTSE 100 index went down 0.74% to 6,889.13 points, French CAC-40 declined 0.98% to 4,869.25, while Germany’s DAX descended 1.41% to 11,208.36.

In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index slipped 0.51% to 18,720.05 points, Hang Seng fell 0.29% to 24,631.91, Shanghai dropped 0.30% to 3,253.14.

At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price surged $2.60 to $1,207 an ounce, and silver price soared $0.01 to $16.31.
