Most stocks in world market fall, gold and silver prices rise

Baku. Yegane Lachinzade – APA-Economics. The U.S. Dow Jones stock index increased by 0.04% to close at 17,673.02, S&P 500 fell 0.42% to 2,041.51 points and NASDAQ dropped 0.23% to 4,716.70 points.

In European stock markets, FTSE 100 index descended 0.17% to 6,860.02 points, French CAC-40 soared 0.39% to 4,696.30, Germany’s DAX went up 0.19% to 10,911.32.

In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index slipped 0.88% to close at 17,523.51 points, Hang Seng went up 0.56% to 24,818.63, Shanghai rose 0.99% at 3,205.55.

At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price surged $7.50 and stood at $1,272 an ounce, and silver price rose $0.05 to $17.44.
