In European markets, FTSE 100 index descended 0.51% to 7,060.45 points, French CAC-40 decreased by 0.57% to 5,224.49, Germany’s DAX shed 1.90% to 11,998.86.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index slipped 0.87% to 19,712.18 points, Hang Seng grew 0.42% to 27,855.84, Shanghai enhanced 2.06% to 4,281.40.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price slid $0.20 to $1,197.80 an ounce, and silver price downed $0.06 to $16.23.
