In European markets, FTSE 100 index descended 0.84% to 6,927.58 points, French CAC-40 decreased by 2.12% to 4,974.07, Germany’s DAX shed 2.51% to 11,327.68.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index raised 0.06% to 19,531.63 points, Hang Seng went up 0.92% to 28,010.94, Shanghai grew 1.35% to 4,356.70.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price ascended $8.70 to $1,195.50 an ounce, and silver price downed $0.02 to $16.56.
