In European markets, FTSE 100 index descended 0.49% to 7,028.24 points, French CAC-40 increased by 0.36% to 5,211.09, Germany’s DAX soared 0.60% to 11,867.37.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index raised 0.29% to 20,191.67 points, Hang Seng grew 0.58% to 28,095.23, Shanghai enhanced 0.21% to 4,407.72.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price surged $1.10 to $1,188.00 an ounce, and silver was sold for $15.80.
