In European markets, FTSE 100 index ascended 0.47% to 7,103.98 points, French CAC-40 increased by 1.30% to 5,268.91, Germany’s DAX soared 1.93% to 12,039.16.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index raised 0.40% to 20,062.70 points, Hang Seng shed 0.08% to 28,411.29, Shanghai slid 0.32% to 4,512.76.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price fell $2.80 to $1,200.40 an ounce, and silver price downed $0.08 to $16.36.
