In European markets, FTSE 100 index ascended 0.36% to 6,985.95 points, French CAC-40 increased by 0.14% to 5,046.49, Germany’s DAX grew 0.19% to 11,454.38.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index climbed 0.06% to 19,531.63 points, Hang Seng went up 0.37% to 28,238.17, Shanghai advanced 0.85% to 4,479.20.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price rose $8.00 to $1,182.50 an ounce, and silver price upped $0.14 to $16.27.
