In European markets, FTSE 100 index ascended 0.21% to 6,960.63 points, French CAC-40 increased by 0.14% to 5,046.49, Germany’s DAX grew 0.19% to 11,454.38.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index dropped 0.28% to 19,466.02 points, Hang Seng went down 0.94% to 28,133.00, Shanghai slipped 0.78% to 4,441.66.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price fell $0.10 to $1,182.30 an ounce, and silver price upped $0.01 to $16.16.
