In European stock markets, FTSE 100 index fell 0.35% to 6,937.41 points, French CAC-40 dropped 0.28% to 5,136.86, and Germany’s DAX went down 0.72% to 12,035.86.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index raised 0.75% to 19,938.87 points, Hang Seng went up 3.62% to 27,187.70, while Shanghai slipped 1.24% to 3,945.24.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price shed $5.80 to $1,197.30 an ounce, and silver price fell $0.10 to $16.36.
