European stocks fall, gold goes up

Baku. Yegane Lachinzade – APA-Economics. The U.S. Dow Jones stock index has risen by 0.26% to close at 17,019.35 points, S&P 500 increased 0.41% at 2,096.41 points and NASDAQ went up 0.75% to 4,893.84 points.

In European stock markets, FTSE 100 index dropped 0.24% to 6,857.05 points. French CAC-40 fell 0.16% to 4,751.95, Germany’s DAX slid 0.37% to 10,923.28.

In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index has declined 0.09% to close at 17,988.11 points, Hang Seng increased 0.38% at 24,820.28, Shanghai grew 0.82% to 3,248.82.

At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price surged $0.80 and stood at $1,227.90 an ounce, and silver shed $0.10 to $17.20.
