In European markets, FTSE 100 index ascended 0.36% to 6,985.95 points, French CAC-40 increased by 0.70% to 5,081.97, Germany’s DAX soared 1.44% to 11,619.85.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index advanced 0.06% to 19,531.63 points, Hang Seng grew 0.09% to 28,147.75, Shanghai fell 1.37% to 4,419.24.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price remained unchanged at $1,186.80 an ounce, and silver also did not change and stood at $16.44.
