Oil prices edged lower on global markets, APA-Economics reports.
Brent crude futures for November delivery fell by $0.10, or 0.09%, to $105.73 per barrel.
WTI crude futures for October delivery declined by $0.22, or 0.21%, to $102.21 per barrel.
The decline in prices is attributed to profit-taking by investors and a short-term market correction following sharp gains in previous sessions.
Meanwhile, ongoing tensions in the Middle East and risks to energy supplies continue to keep oil prices at elevated levels.
