Azerbaijani parliamentarians concern over price rises

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev-APA. Lawmakers focused on recent price rises in the country at the Parliament session on Friday, APA reports. Jamil Hasanli called the price rises as dangerous and urged the Parliament to discuss this issue with the Government. Igbal Agazadeh spoke about the population’s concern over the price rises. “The Ministry of Agriculture announced that one million and 676 hectares corn fields were seed last year, but there are no crops in the country. Why we buy the grain from abroad?” Panah Huseyn has also said he seriously concerned about that. Siyavush Novruzov urged to adopt the act of amnesty on the occasion of Heydar Aliyev’s 85th anniversary. He invited counterparts to support his suggestion. He has also spoken about the price rises. “There is no point for concern about the price rises. Wheat became expensive for 130 per cent. It is worldwide process”. Zahid Oruj said military capacity of the country increased recently and showed statistics that 95 thousand servicemen number in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, there are 292 tanks and etc. Vice Speaker Valeh Alasgarov said inflation and price rises in the country had concrete reasons. Speaker Ogtay Asadov said the Government took measures toward this issue. Ahad Abiyev said some political forces calling themselves main opposition were gambling recently. “Every one should be called with real name. Otherwise considering the anatomy of double-faced politicians we have to change their names”.
