Member of the commission Zahid Oruj told APA that the issue on the protocol that will be added to the European Convention on the Suppression of Terrorism joined by Azerbaijan in 2004 was discussed at the meeting. According to MP, the protocol that will be added to the convention covers items on prevention of terrorism. Zahid Oruj said Azerbaijan will confirm the protocol of the convention conditionally.
“It will be noted that Azerbaijan will not be able to ensure prevention of terrorism fully, since a part of the country’s territory is under occupation. The note is also added to the document,†he said.
