Baku – APA-Economics. Oil prices rallied today but closed below the 100 USD/barrel threshold, Agenzia Giornalistica Italia reported.

The crude oil price rise was driven by a weak dollar, despite the growing fears for a US debt default. On the Nymex, the Light Crude rose by 39 cents, closing at 99,59 USD a barrel, after hitting 100,62 USD - that’s a six-week high.

Brent up 33 cents, closing at 118,27 USD.
