Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense has clarified the information about dropping of a plastic container with balloons in the territory of Goychay region, the Ministry told APA.
"Some local electronic media reported that a balloon with a plastic container fell into the courtyard of a resident of the Goychay region. We inform that a probe (balloon) filled with helium gas before artillery exercises allows you to measure various air parameters in order to assess the meteorological state of the atmosphere. This probe, released into the air to assess the meteorological situation, is safe, there is no reason for concern,” said the Ministry.
