Baku – APA. An Egyptian passenger plane has made an emergency landing in Uzbekistan while en route from Cairo to Beijing, Al Jazeera reported.
All 118 passengers and 17 crew have been safely evacuated form the aircraft, the Reuters news agency reported quoting Uzbekistan Airways.
Egyptian aviation sources said it was a false bomb threat that forced the plane to land.
Wednesday's developments come less than a month after EgyptAir flight MS804 disappeared over the Mediterranean with 66 people on board.
Authorities are still investigating that crash.
ISIL has been waging a deadly uprising against Egyptian security forces and last October claimed the bombing of a Russian airliner flying home holidaymakers from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
