The Secretary-General reiterated his position, as expressed in previous statements. He reiterated the need for all parties to respect international law and international humanitarian law, and to refrain from attacking civilians and civilian infrastructure. He also expressed concern about the regional spillover of the current conflict and its impact on the global economy," reads a statement released by the office of the head of the world organization.
