“The peace talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia, initiated by the United States, are very significant,” said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan at a press conference with his Egyptian counterpart, APA reports.
The minister stated that the steps taken towards lasting peace in the South Caucasus make us happy: “Just as Türkiye, under President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s vision, supported the liberation of Azerbaijani territories from occupation, it has also fully supported peace in the post-occupation period and encouraged both sides. Türkiye appreciates the courageous steps of both Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the contribution of the US side to this process.”
