Turkish Vice President: The history of coups ended with July 15
# 16 July 2025 11:39 (UTC +04:00)

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz, speaking at the "Memory, Justice and Future" panel organized by the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration on the anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt, stated that foreign circles were behind the coup attempt, APA's correspondent dispatched to Ankara reports.

The Turkish Vice President said that it is necessary to look deeper into the background of July 15: "First of all, we must not forget our history. A people who forget history will have no future. The history of coups ended with July 15. On July 15, the Turkish Grand National Assembly and the Presidential Palace were bombed by traitors dressed in military uniforms. The bombing of these two places was not accidental. The enemy usually avoids bombing parliaments, but the FETO terrorist organization did the opposite. Coups and attempted coups are against the will of the people; therefore, this is a case of foreign circles and their henchmen opposing the national will."
