After the ceasefire agreement reached in Gaza, a Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) is planned to be established in the region to ensure security, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports, citing sources from the Turkish Ministry of National Defense (MSB).
The ministry’s weekly press briefing noted that the Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) has been established for this purpose. Its main tasks include carrying out security patrols, delivering humanitarian aid, protecting civilian infrastructure, ensuring border security, training local security forces, and monitoring the ceasefire.
It was stated that the Turkish Armed Forces are ready to carry out any assigned duties within the framework of international law to restore and maintain peace.
The Ministry of National Defense's briefing also noted that Türkiye is one of the four guarantor countries of the ceasefire agreement and continues diplomatic and military consultations with the other parties.
