After the war with Israel, several Iranian citizens who were arrested are being accused of espionage, said Asgar Jahangir, spokesperson for Iran’s judiciary and justice system, APA reports.
Asgar Jahangir said that several people have been arrested on charges of espionage and their cases are being reviewed: “Some of those arrested are accused of espionage, and their cases will be examined on an expedited basis.”
He did not disclose details.
Note that after the 12-day war between the Islamic Republic and Israel, hundreds of Iranian citizens have been arrested on unknown charges. There is no information about their whereabouts or the conditions they are held in.
