“The European Union has recently taken a significant step in increasing defense spending, raising the allocated funds to 800 billion euros. We understand that in recent years, the alliance’s credibility and strength have faced serious challenges,” NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said at today’s press conference, APA reports.
He stated that for this reason, more weapons and military equipment must be produced than in the last 10 years.
“NATO is doing its best to meet military needs in times of crisis and to utilize innovations. Another key issue is ensuring the resilience of the supply chain for military-purpose products. As for cooperation with international organizations, the alliance is making every effort,” he added.
