Traffic at Paris' Gare du Nord railway station was severely disrupted on Thursday due to a gas leak in the area, with passengers evacuated from the building, and police and firefighters heading to the scene, APA reports citing BBN.
"The incident caused delays on major lines of 5 to 30 minutes, with a return to normal expected around 8:30 pm on the Paris Nord - Laon and Paris Nord - Beauvais lines," authorities said in a press release.
According to SNCF Reseau, which manages the station's infrastructure, a security perimeter was set up in the station "following a smell reported by the police."
