Numan Kurtulmuş said that at the call of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the people took to the streets and prevented the attempted coup d'état: "That evening was a day of struggle between heroes and traitors, the henchmen of others. July 15 is an example of great heroism in the history of this nation."
