“Türkiye will provide all necessary support, if needed, to strengthen Syria’s defense capabilities and support its fight against terrorism,” said the Turkish Ministry of Defense, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
The ministry spokesperson also noted that Türkiye's position regarding recent developments in Syria and Israel’s attacks on Syria is clear: “Our goal is a safe, stable, and strong Syria that has ensured its territorial integrity and political unity. Israel’s airstrikes on Syria jeopardize steps being taken toward peace and stability in the region.”
He also emphasized that no Turkish soldiers or personnel in Syria were harmed during Israel’s airstrikes.
