Israel’s attacks against Iran will continue to intensify, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says after a meeting with Defense Minister Israel Katz, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, and Mossad chief David Barnea, APA reports citing Times of Israel.
“Our forces are now striking in the heart of Tehran with increasing intensity, and this will only intensify further in the coming days,” says Netanyahu from the roof of the IDF Kirya headquarters in Tel Aviv.
“However, these are painful days,” he says, referring to the deadly Iranian strikes in Tel Aviv and Beit Shemesh.
“My heart goes out to the families, and on behalf of all of you, the citizens of Israel, I send wishes for a speedy recovery to the wounded.”
Netanyahu does not say the joint US-Israel strikes will bring down the regime, saying only that the “combination of forces enables us to do what I have longed to do for 40 years — to strike the terror regime decisively. That is what I promised — and that is what we will do.”
