The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has pledged allegiance to the new Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Mojtaba Khamenei, and expressed its readiness to follow his instructions, according to IRGC press service, APA reports.
"The Guard Corps, as a loyal soldier and a powerful pillar of power, supporting the choice of the esteemed Council of Leadership Experts, is ready to fully obey and selflessly carry out the divine instructions of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei," the Iranian state broadcaster quoted the IRGC's statement as saying.
