As tens of thousands gathered in Iran’s capital, Tehran, for the state funeral of those killed in Israeli strikes, a post on the Iranian supreme leader’s X account reiterated his vow that the Islamic nation will never surrender to the United States, APA reports citing CNN.
“The Iranian nation should know that the reason for the conflict with America is that they want Iran to surrender,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei wrote in a post on his Farsi-language X account, echoing a portion of a previous statement. “The Americans are the ones who have committed this great insult to the Iranian nation, and that such an event will never happen,” the statement added.
It was Khamenei’s first post since the start of the state funeral. The message did not address the event directly.
