"The snapback mechanism will end Europe’s role in Iran’s nuclear issue," said Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, APA reports.
“If such a thing happens, it could be the darkest period in relations between Iran and the European trio. Most likely, the damage will be so great that we won’t be able to restore our relations. Like American military aggression, the snapback mechanism will further complicate the path of diplomacy and negotiations,” the Iranian Foreign Minister warned.
Note that the “snapback” mechanism, based on the 2015 nuclear deal, provides for the reimposition of sanctions on Iran in the event of non-compliance with its obligations.
