Iran has fired 200 ballistic missiles at Israel since last night, APA reports citing the Times of Israel.
Most of the missiles were intercepted by air defenses. According to the military, about 25%, or less than 50, fell in open areas without damaging critical infrastructure.
The IDF also said that a "small number" of missiles bypassed air defense systems and hit residential areas in central Israel, such as Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan and Rishon LeZion, causing casualties and destruction.
Three Israelis were killed and about 70 others were injured in the missile strikes.
