At the sidelines of the 19th Joint Economic Cooperation Commission between Iran and Russia, Iran’s Oil Minister announced that negotiations for the development of one of the country’s major oil fields with Russia and the import of Russian gas have reached the final stages, with only a few points remaining before the final contracts are signed, APA reports, citing iranoilgas.com.
He emphasized that the 19th Joint Economic Cooperation Commission between Iran and Russia has successfully moved agreements from the planning stage to implementation, highlighting extensive cooperation potential in energy, finance, banking, transportation, agriculture, and education.
He added: "In the gas trade sector, agreements regarding the import of gas from Russia have reached the final stages, with only a few minor points remaining, which are expected to lead to the signing of the final contract soon."
Sergey Tsybulyov, Russia’s Energy Minister, stated that cooperation with Iran is progressing rapidly, with projects advancing 13 times more in the past 11 months than the previous year. He also mentioned peaceful nuclear collaboration, development of the Bushehr power plant, the Rasht-Astara railway project, wheat exports and food security, and space and cultural initiatives, emphasizing the broad scope of bilateral cooperation.
