Tehran and Yerevan have reached an agreement on the construction of the second Norduz Bridge, Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzana Sadiq made statement to the Iranian press, APA reports.
"In the road sector, the two countries have reached a preliminary agreement on the construction of the second Norduz Bridge, the improvement of the existing bridge, the arrangement of terminals and the regulation of tolls for trucks," Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzana Sadiq said.
She added that a strategic project to connect the Persian Gulf and the Black Sea via railway is progressing.
"A railway in the Julfa direction already exists in Iran and its continuation from Nakhchivan to Yerevan has been approved. This railway can play an important role in transit between Iran, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Europe," Sadiq noted.
