Erdogan: "It is necessary to demonstrate an objective position regarding what is happening in Israel and Palestine"

"It is necessary to take an objective stance on what is happening in Israel and Palestine," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a joint press conference with Austrian Prime Minister Karl Nehammer, APA reports.

He noted that the U.S. sending an aircraft carrier to support Israel was a wrong move:

"The presence of a U.S aircraft carrier in Israel raises questions. What is its purpose? Firing on Gaza will lead to very serious casualties. In Syria, there are more than 20 military bases today. What is their purpose there? This should be taken into consideration. However, unfortunately, the U.S. shot down one of Türkiye's UAVs. Isn't Tuükiye a partner of the U.S. within NATO? The U.S. provides training to all terrorists, turning Syria and the Middle East into a bloodbath. This should be acknowledged."

Erdogan emphasized that he does not believe the conflict between Israel and Palestine will end anytime soon.

According to him, his country is reviewing the mediation-related format.
