Türkiye's Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli met with the DEM Party delegation in Ankara, APA reports, citing NTV.
The meeting lasted 40 minutes.
DEM Party's Van MP Pervin Buldan thanked Devlet Bahçeli for the meeting.
It should be noted that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has also met with DEM Party leaders several times. The DEM Party leadership held talks with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan on Imralı Island.
It should be noted that some time ago, the imprisoned leader of the PKK terrorist organization, Abdullah Öcalan, called on his supporters. The written appeal released on behalf of Öcalan included the call to "Put down your weapons!" A group of organization members disarmed in Sulaymaniyah following the call of the PKK leader.
PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan has been held in Imralı Prison for 26 years. He was detained in Kenya in February 1999 as a result of an operation by the National Intelligence Organization and brought to Türkiye. Although he was sentenced to death, the sentence was later commuted to life imprisonment.
