The police have cordoned off Bhutto’s residence, ex-prime minister’s supporters are arrested in the country.
The police thwarted the rally of Bhutto’s supporters in Rawalpindi, about 5000 were arrested in the rally. Parliamentarians Naid Khan, Nayar Bohari and Babar Avan are among the arrested. Local media attributes Benazir Bhutto’s arrest to great terror threat in the rally of her supporters.
State of emergency was announced in Pakistan on November 3, president dismissed chairman of the Supreme Court and announced the Constitution ineffective. /APA/
