Baku-APA. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday condemned the stabbing and killing of five Israeli settlers in a Jewish settlement in the West Bank, APA reports quoting Xinhua News Agency.
In a brief statement published by the Palestinian official news agency Wafa, Abbas said he condemns "violence directed at civilians regardless its source and reasons."
"Violence generates only violence and what is needed is to hasten finding a just and comprehensive solution to the conflict," Abbas said.
Unknown assailant, or assailants, broke into a house in Itamar settlement near Nablus city and stabbed to death five Israelis, coming from one family.
The suspects managed to escape after killing the parents and three children aged between 11 years old and three months, the Israel Radio reported.
