Pakistani PM receives state medal of honor in Turkey

Baku-APA. Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani received a state medal of honor here Tuesday for his contributions to friendly ties between Pakistan and Turkey, APA reports quoting Xinhua News Agency.
Turkish President Abdullah Gul decorated Gilani with the medal at a ceremony in the Turkish capital city of Ankara, the semi- official Anatolia news agency reported.
"Gilani’s efforts are of utmost importance for not only boosting regional and global peace, stability and prosperity but also enhancing deep friendly and brotherhood relations between Turkey and Pakistan," Gul was quoted as saying during the ceremony.
Gilani said his country has the political will to further improve friendship between Turkey and Pakistan, said the report.
Gilani arrived in Turkey on Monday for an official visit. He is expected to address the general assembly of the Turkish parliament and meet Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the visit.
