Japan PM Kan and Chinese premier meet in Brussels

Baku â€“ APA. Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan met with Chinese premier Wen Jiabao on the sidelines of the Asia-Europe summit in Brussels on Monday, a Japanese government official said, APA reports quoting â€œReutersâ€.
It was the first face-to-face meeting between the two leaders since relations soured after a maritime collision last month near a disputed island in the East China Sea.
"The prime minister said the Senkoku island was Japanese territory," said Noriyuki Shikata, a spokesman for the Japanese prime minister’s office who was accompanying Kan. Kan said the two countries will start high level talks, he added.
