Baku-APA. Six people were wounded in two incidents in Baghdad and the country’s northern city of Kirkuk on Tuesday, police source said, APA reports quoting news.xinhuanet.com website.

In Kirkuk, explosives in a booby-trapped house were detonated in the morning near a joint force of police and army during a raid on the house in Hawija town, 230 km north of Baghdad, wounding four soldiers and one policeman, Sarhad Abdul-Qader, a police chief in Kirkuk told Xinhua.

Meanwhile, a civilian wanted for charges of terrorism was captured during a raid in northwestern Kirkuk, some 250 km north of Baghdad, said Abdul-Qader.

In Baghdad, a sticky bomb attached to the car of a police officer in the Baladiyat neighborhood in eastern the capital went off, critically wounding the officer, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

Violence and sporadic high-profile attacks are still common in Iraqi cities as part of recent deterioration in security which shaped a setback to the efforts of the Iraqi government to restore normalcy in the country after violence-torn Iraq held parliamentary elections more than six months ago.
