Turkish President to visit U.S.

Baku. Shamil Alibeyli – APA. President of Turkey Abdullah Gul will visit the United States on September 21.

APA reports quoting Hurriyet that the president will be accompanied by Foreign Minster Ahmet Davutoglu and other diplomats.

Gul is expected to address the UN on September 24. Following this, the Turkish President plans to meet with Presidents of the U.S. and Iran, Barack Obama and Hassan Rouhani. They will discuss the Syrian crisis and stress the importance of increasing efforts towards the solution of the Syrian crisis and using the compherensive strategy.

Gul and Davutoglu are expected to hold several meetings in the U.S. and attend the forum to be organized by the UN General Assembly.
