United States Senate Judiciary Committee revealed on Wednesday it will hold a hearing with Twitter Inc. former head of security Peiter Zatko on September 13, APA reports citing Teletrader.
"Mr. Zatko's allegations of widespread security failures and foreign state actor interference at Twitter raise serious concerns. If these claims are accurate, they may show dangerous data privacy and security risks for Twitter users around the world," panel chair and Democratic Senator Dick Durbin and committee's top Republican Chuck Grassley wrote in a joint statement.
The panel will also "take further steps as needed to get to the bottom of these alarming allegations," the senators added.
