Ending the war in Ukraine is possible only with the consent of all parties, the conditions must be acceptable, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, APA reports.
According to him, the meeting with Russia lays the foundation for future cooperation: "The goal of the negotiations is to achieve a fair, lasting peace for Ukraine and acceptable peace for all parties. The only leader who can achieve this peace is President Donald Trump. There is still a lot of work to be done. The goal of today's meeting was to establish communication channels."
Rubio said that the EU must be at the negotiating table at some point because it has imposed sanctions on Russia: "The EU will have to be at the table at some point because they have sanctions on Russia."
