The US proposal for resolving the conflict in Ukraine includes recognising Russian as an official state language in the country, APA reports, citing Financial Times.
The document also envisions granting official status to the local branch of the Russian Orthodox Church.
According to the newspaper, the US plan further includes a reduction in military assistance to Kyiv.
“Most importantly, the plan calls for Ukraine to abandon key categories of weaponry and for US military aid to be scaled back,” the report states.
